For those of us engrossed in the realms of geopolitics and study of Biblical prophecy, the escalating conflict between Russia and Ukraine has again surged to the forefront of our collective consciousness.
This renewed focus has been catalyzed not only by the implications of the conflict itself but also by high-profile events such as Tucker Carlson's recent interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin, alongside growing concerns regarding the potential collapse of Ukrainian armed forces.1
Delving deeper into a Biblical perspective, the scenario unfolding in Ukraine seems to be a precursor to the prophesied Gog-Magog war described in Ezekiel 38 and 39. This scripture outlines an intense conflict in the Middle East, suggesting to some that the culmination of tensions in Ukraine might be a necessary antecedent. Military and geopolitical analysts are increasingly convinced of an imminent Russian victory, which would set the stage for future prophetic events.
Former British diplomat Alastair Crooke goes so far as to say that widening the war in the Middle East, which many would regard as the onset of the Gog-Magog War, would ignite a “regional Armageddon.”
The current geopolitical climate unfortunately includes the potential for a significant military response to defend Ukraine. The U.S., alongside yet another "coalition of the willing," may well consider a full-scale ground invasion, a move fraught with risk, particularly given NATO's lack of consensus on direct involvement in the conflict.
A critical question then arises regarding the fate of various clandestine activities and evidence of purportedly sponsored by the U.S. within Ukraine. These include controversial biolabs, alleged money laundering operations, and other surreptitious endeavors.
The durability of these secret operations would be put in jeopardy, contingent on President Zelenskyy's capacity to shield them from international scrutiny and potential Russian access. The implications of these developments extend well beyond mere geopolitical strategy and could further complicate any international response to the evolving situation in Ukraine.
If there’s a fly in the ointment, it is that such an invasion by NATO could jump-start WWIII, a distinct albeit horrible possibility given Washington's utter incompetence, inability to analyze and predict emergent complexities, and omnipresent political preoccupations. As former President Barack Obama once attested, “Don't underestimate Joe's ability to fuck things up." However, in the final analysis common sense will likely prevail and a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine will be enacted that Balkanizes Ukraine.
Under such a scheme, the Donbas in eastern Ukraine would be ceded (back) to Russia,2 while other (former Ukrainian) territory possibly would be ceded to Poland, Hungary, Romania and the Czech Republic, and even perhaps to non-titular ethnic constituencies, thereby forming brand new nation-states that will dramatically alter the landscape of Eastern Europe and enhance enthusiasm for an emergent Eurasian Civilization.
A cynic might argue this outcome is what the European Union and Globalist Cabal desired all along — a Yugoslavian-style agreement that creates more vassal member states for the EU, as was the case with the republics of Croatia and Slovenia when Yugoslavia was dissected in 1991-92.
Before his death in 2011, Mihalio Nechay was a well known Carpathian ‘molfar’ — a mystic and prophet with extraordinary metaphysical abilities such as clairvoyance. Nechay’s 2007 prophecy — “Ukraine will break apart, it won’t be on a map” — provides the centerpiece for this, my second essay on Holy Rus. He articulates his prophecy in the 1-minute video below.
Christians and Jews
We bear witness to a pivotal moment in history: the decline of Western Civilization as it has been known and the concurrent emergence of a Eurasian Civilization. This new geopolitical configuration, spearheaded by nations such as Russia, China, India, Brazil and a reconstituted, democratic Iran rising from the ashes as a beacon for the Muslim world, represents a shift towards a multipolar world order.
Such a realignment, contrary to sparking fear, might offer a viable escape from the brink of nuclear catastrophe or the descent into a dystopian and godless demonic 'New World Order,' as envisioned by proponents of the Great Reset. These are our choices.
This notion of a New World Order, championed by entities like the World Economic Forum et al., foresees a unified authoritarian global governance, a radical overhaul of spiritual beliefs, population control and sundry transhumanist endeavors employing artificial intelligence. Faced with such prospects, the nuclear alternative, however grim, might seem preferable to many.
It is within this emerging Eurasian Civilization that we may discern the hand of Providence, guided by the spiritual leadership of the Russian Orthodox Church and faith of the Russian people. This 'Holy Rus' signifies not just a geopolitical or cultural revival, but a reassertion of divine principles in the earthly realm.3
The secularization of the West, including Israel, signifies a departure from these foundational spiritual values. Both regions, historically united under the banner of the Judeo-Christian tradition and as Peoples of the Covenant, have drifted far from their spiritual moorings. If past is prologue, the next chapter is titled ‘Divine Retribution.’
It's crucial to recognize our shared brotherly heritage and the mutual responsibilities it entails: Christians and Jews form one entity. The Apostle Paul's words to the Romans serve as a reminder of humility and faith in the face of divine wisdom and the interconnectedness of all who are part of the Covenant.
If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.” Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but tremble. For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either.
Romans 11:17-21
This passage is crystal clear. It emphasizes the importance of humility and faith and reminds us that no branch is superior to another within the divine covenant. It is a call to unity and respect among those who have been grafted onto the sacred vine, urging us all toward reverence and mutual respect.
The Old Testament — the Jewish Tanakh or Hebrew Bible — teaches us that the cycle of straying from God and being recalled to the faith through difficult times is a recurring theme in the relationship between God and his people. This pattern is evident in the narratives of various figures and the collective experience of the Israelites over millennia.
It often begins with the people enjoying prosperity and security, which leads to complacency and forgetting their reliance on God. This forgetfulness manifests in idolatry, moral decay and the neglect of the covenant established between God and his people.
As a consequence, God allows hardships to befall them, such as foreign oppression, exile or natural calamities, serving as both a punishment for their sins and as a wake-up call to return to faithfulness. These difficult times prompt introspection and recognition of their dependence on God's mercy and protection. God does not chastise his people; his people create chastisements.
The prophets play a crucial role in this cycle, acting as God's messengers to warn the people of their errant ways, to call for repentance, and to promise redemption if they return to God. The fate of America — this “City upon a Hill” — is consequentially and inextricably linked to that of Israel. This is the foremost reason why many Christians, including myself, stand unwaveringly with Israel.
We must always consider that we shall be as a City upon a Hill — the eyes of all people are upon us. Today the eyes of all people are truly upon us — and our governments, in every branch, at every level, national, state and local, must be as a city upon a hill — constructed and inhabited by men aware of their great trust and their great responsibilities.
John F. Kennedy, 1961
The cycle of adversity and redemption not only emphasizes the importance of faithfulness and obedience to God's will but also highlights God's mercy and readiness to forgive. It serves as a reminder of the relationship between God and humanity, predicated on faith, obedience, repentance and redemption.
Catholic Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, an esteemed prophet for our time and a voice in the wilderness, has joined the chorus of those who suggest that Russian Orthodoxy might be the only means of saving the world.
Perhaps Providence has ordained that Moscow, the Third Rome, will today in the sight of the world take on the role of κατέχον [katechon].4 If the errors of Communism were spread by the Soviet Union, even to the point of imposing themselves within the Church, Russia and Ukraine can today have an epochal role in the restoration of Christian civilization, contributing to bringing the world a period of peace from which the Church too will rise again purified and renewed in her ministers.
Archbishop Carlo Viganò, Letter #45, March 6, 2022
Vigano added, “The Russian-Ukrainian conflict is a very dangerous trap that has been set against Ukraine, Russia and the nations of Europe.”
Echoing Viganò's insights, Alexander Dugin, a Russian political philosopher, cites the notion of Russia's current geopolitical stance as a crucible for global resistance. In 2022 Dugin wrote, “Russia is now creating a field of global resistance. Its victory would be a victory for all alternative forces, both right-wing and left-wing, and for all peoples.”5
Dugin envisages Russia's effort to forge its own path and civilization as the genesis of a multipolar world order, from which, paradoxically, even those fail to comprehend the particulars of Russia's necessary invasion of the Donbas6 might eventually benefit. Dugin’s assertion that Russia must become a “continent-state" or "civilization-state" to maintain sovereignty emphasizes the magnitude of the challenge he perceives in achieving true independence from globalist structures.
Dugan’s prophetic vision aligns with the idea of a multipolar world order, where Russia's ascendancy contributes to a reconfiguration of global power dynamics, fostering a landscape wherein diverse ideological and cultural entities can flourish.
Ukraine, including the Donbas, was part of the Russian Empire from 1721 until 1917. Ukraine was independent for 5 years (1917-22) before being incorporated into the Soviet Union (USSR).
Katechon: A term drawn from Christian eschatology that refers to a restraining force holding back the Antichrist. (2 Thess. 2:6-7) “Moscow came to be known as the “Third Rome” because, after the Byzantine Empire collapsed in 1453, Russia was the greatest Christian power in the world and some Orthodox came to believe Moscow was the new seat of authority in Christianity.”
Consider also:
“This is not a war with Ukraine. It is a confrontation with globalism as an integral planetary phenomenon. It is a confrontation on all levels - geopolitical and ideological. Russia rejects everything in globalism - unipolarity, Atlantism, on the one hand, and liberalism, anti-tradition, technocracy, Great Reset in one word, on the other. It is clear that all European leaders are part of the Atlanticist liberal elite.
“And we are at war with exactly that. Hence their legitimate reaction. Russia is now being excluded from the globalist networks. It no longer has a choice: either build its world or disappear. Russia has set a course to build its world, its civilization. And now the first step is being taken. But sovereign in the face of globalism can only be a large space, a continent-state, a civilization-state. No country can withstand complete disconnection for a long time.
“Russia is now creating a field of global resistance. Its victory would be a victory for all alternative forces, both right-wing and left-wing, and for all peoples. We are, as always, starting the most difficult and dangerous processes.
“But when we win, everyone takes advantage of them. That is the way it is meant to be. We are now creating the preconditions for real multipolarity. And those who are ready to kill us now will be the first to take advantage of our feat tomorrow. I almost always write things that later come true. This will also come true.” (Alexander Dugin)
Recall the 13-day 1963 Cuban Missile Crisis, if you will. Russia, in collusion with Cuba, sought to install nuclear weapons within striking distance of major U.S. cities. The U.S. contended that this violated the Monroe Doctrine, which opposed European powers extending their influence into the Western Hemisphere. Fast forwarding to this century, the historical record during post-Cold War Munich negotiations indicates that NATO had verbally agreed not to expand eastward. Surely, any reasonable person can recognize the double standard at play: If the U.S. was prepared to risk nuclear war to prevent missile installations in the Western Hemisphere in 1963, why then should Russia be expected to acquiesce to NATO expansion that could place nuclear weapons in Ukraine—directly on Russia’s doorstep? Accepting the U.S. rationale during the Cuban Missile Crisis as valid compels one, by analogy, to acknowledge Russia's legitimate concerns regarding the proximity of NATO’s nuclear arsenal on its borders.
A field of global resistance, or one of the dark inter-connected psychic force fields that are the leading edge dramatization of humankind now actively destroying itself - which it has so been doing for a very long time now.
A dark force-field including (even more so) whats happening in Israel/Palestine and the Middle East.
