A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth.
Rev. 12:1-4
The Woman in this vision, of course, is Mary, the Mother of Jesus, representing purity, divine motherhood, and the embodiment of the Church. The dragon symbolizes Satan, the eternal adversary, whose seven heads refer to the seven kingdoms that Satan has manipulated throughout history in his quest to dominate the world. Revelation 13 further suggests that the antichrist will seek to establish a one-world government, wielding power and authority over all nations.
In this piece, we will delve into the symbolism of the “woman clothed with the sun” as depicted in John of Patmos’ well-known vision. Our discussion will be anchored in the Eastern (Orthodox) perspective, rather than the Western (Roman) Church, primarily for two reasons.
First, the Western Church tends to dogmatize and institutionalize nearly all aspects of spirituality. This approach can be likened to a form of spiritual taxidermy, preserving the outer form while stifling the living essence. It might be effective if the goal is to create a rigid, static spirituality devoid of personal experience and growth.
As someone once said — though I forget who — “Religion is the entropy of spirituality.” When religious institutions rigidly adhere to specific doctrines and discourage questioning or exploration, spiritual growth is often stifled. Such closed systems limit individual inquiry and creativity, turning faith into a series of rote practices rather than a dynamic relationship with the Divine.
Some would argue that many find a rich, robust, and fulfilling spiritual life within the sanctuaries of organized religion. This may be true. However, Rational Spirituality is concerned with those who do not and, for various reasons, have left the church in droves. Many who remain are, by definition, apostate — they do not believe a good deal of what they are told.
Second, today the Vatican’s all-male hierarchy, with its rigid structure and concentration of power, bears a closer resemblance to the woman’s adversary, “a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads,” than to the woman herself. This comparison highlights how institutional power and control, symbolized by the dragon, have overshadowed the nurturing, compassionate, and protective qualities traditionally associated with the feminine aspect of the Church.
The dragon’s multiple heads and crowns signify a multiplicity of authority and domination, which starkly contrasts with the image of the woman clothed with the sun — a figure of purity, spiritual enlightenment, and the nurturing of new life. This juxtaposition underscores the tension between the Church’s current hierarchical structure and the more inclusive, compassionate vision that the woman symbolizes and engenders.
But let’s pause. Today is Our Lady’s birthday! Let’s set aside religious disputations and be joyful and hopeful in a satanically threatened world. We pray that today’s celebration will not be overshadowed by the dragon.
Medjugorje
Today, in the Bosnian village of Medjugorje, this year’s International Youth Festival, an annual event commemorating Mary’s birthday, is wrapping up — the final ceremonies will be held tomorrow. These will include a reverent reenactment of the Last Supper, a poignant and non-blasphemous celebration of faith. Two days ago, over 700 priests concelebrated evening Mass at Medjugorje.
During an apparition in 1984, Mary revealed to the Medjugorje visionaries that her real birthday is August 5. She further informed the visionaries that her 2,000th birthday would be celebrated on August 5, 1984, and requested special observances to mark the occasion. Historically, Mary would have been around 16 when Jesus was born, a common age for motherhood in those times.
The first Medjugorje International Youth Festival was held in 1989, and I had the privilege of playing a small role in organizing that inaugural event. This festival has since grown into a significant gathering for young pilgrims from around the world. For those interested, there is additional background on the Festival, including video footage, here. All of our Medjugorje posts are grouped together in a dedicated tab on Rational Spirituality’s homepage, here.
The Medjugorje visionaries have each been entrusted with 10 ‘secrets’ that will be disclosed to the public when instructed by Mary. These secrets are said to concern future events, many of which likely pertain to the End Times.
We can only hope the Vatican will not suppress them as it did with the famous third secret given by Mary to Sister Lucy at Fatima in 1917. This secret was to have been released to the faithful in 1960, but the Vatican still refuses to do so. I have written extensively about the Third Fatima Secret here.
Both the third secret of Fatima and the Medjugorje secrets are conjectured to concern End Times events. Given the current geopolitical and financial turmoil, I believe we can expect divine intervention soon. We will continue to cover and comment upon the Medjugorje messages in this newsletter, as they are revealed. Our posts about the End Times are grouped together here.
Satan on the Throne of St Peter
To be straightforward, the Vatican has fallen under the influence of Satan. While existential evil certainly exists and is often described as satanic, it has little to do with a cosmic boogeyman. In Rational Spirituality’s schema, the word ‘satan’ refers to a category of willfully committed evil by exceptionally bad actors —those who consciously choose to oppose the Divine Order.
A human is said to “sell his soul to Satan” when they directly oppose the Divine Order and harm others without remorse. In other words, they are psychopaths under the spell of the Dark Triad Archetype, which embodies narcissism, Machiavellianism, and psychopathy.1
Witnessing the total subversion of the divine order and the propagation of infernal chaos with the zealous collaboration of the leaders of the Vatican and the Episcopate, makes us understand how terrible are the words of the Virgin Mary at La Salette – “Rome will lose the faith and become the seat of the Antichrist” – and what a hateful betrayal is constituted by the apostasy of the Pastors, and by the even more unheard-of one of the one who sits on the Throne of the Most Blessed Peter [Pope- Francis].
Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, June 2024 letter 2
The late Jesuit priest and author, Father Malachi Martin, has also corroborated the presence of satanic rituals in the Vatican:
Suddenly it became unarguable that now during this papacy, the Roman Catholic organization carried a permanent presence of clerics who worshipped Satan and liked it; of bishops and priests who sodomized boys and each other; of nuns who performed the “Black Rites” of Wicca, and who lived in lesbian relationships . . . every day, including Sundays and Holy Days, acts of heresy and blasphemy and outrage and indifference were committed and permitted at holy Altars by men who [ostensibly] had been called to be priests.3
Sacrilegious actions and rites were not only performed on Christ’s Altars, but had the connivance or at least the tacit permission of certain Cardinals, archbishops, and bishops. . . In total number they were a minority — anything from one to ten percent of Church personnel. But of that minority, many occupied astoundingly high positions or rank....
Malachi Martin, Windswept House, pp. 492-934
Our Western secular institutions and governments are also influenced, if not outright captured, by Satan. At the time of his passing, Fr. Martin was working on a book titled Primacy: How the Institutional Roman Catholic Church Became a Creature of The New World Order. This unfinished work was intended to include predictions about the world in the first decades of the new millennium. The title alone suggests intrigue and raises pressing questions about hidden agendas and the global powers that shape our world.
The term "Primacy" refers to the pope’s full, supreme, and universal power over the Church, a notion that carries with it a weight of pretension and authoritarianism. This doctrine was first formally instituted at the First Vatican Council in 1870 and was reconfirmed by the Second Vatican Council in 1964.
However, to their great credit, the Eastern Church has steadfastly rejected the Dogma of Primacy, maintaining a more collegial and less hierarchical approach to ecclesiastical authority. The Eastern Church is also open to the question of ordaining women as priests, a forbidden topic in Rome.
Rational Spirituality’s Christian Cosmology
Beyond scientific explanations, Christian cosmology intertwines faith, creation, and purpose, inviting believers to see the universe as a sacred and interconnected whole. This perspective views creation not merely as a physical process but as a divine act imbued with meaning and intentionality.
One of the unfortunate tragedies of the Reformation was the exile of the Divine Feminine — the essential half of the dualistic yin-yang creative force and cosmic principle, personified in Christianity by Mary, the Mother of Jesus. This loss marked a significant shift in Christian thought, where the balance between the masculine and feminine aspects of the Divine was disrupted.
Mythologist Joseph Campbell lamented this loss of the Divine Feminine, recognizing the profound impact it had on Western spirituality. However, he credited Catholicism with dogmatically preserving the essential status of Yin (the goddess archetype) in creation. This preservation is evident in the Roman and Orthodox devotional practices centered on Mary, even though many of these practices were intentionally diluted by Yang-centric doctrines over-emphasizing the masculine aspects of divinity.
It’s noteworthy that Mary is more revered in Islamic theology than in Protestant Christianity, where the emphasis on the Divine Feminine has been even further diminished. In Islam, Mary (Maryam) is honored as the mother of Jesus (Isa) and is considered one of the most righteous women in history, embodying the purity and sanctity often associated with the Divine Feminine.
In our theory of archetypes, Lucifer (representing hate) embodies the lowest possible archetypal frequency imaginable, while God (representing love) embodies the highest. We most recently detailed how human emotions drive self-assembling archetypal energy patterns here.
This theory helps explain why the “old gods and goddesses” still exert influence in the modern world. These archetypes, deeply embedded in the collective unconscious, continue to play a role in the evolution of human consciousness and human history.
When a religion demonizes these archetypes rather than explaining their continuing role, it fails to perform God’s work. Instead, it aligns with the forces of Satan by fostering fear, ignorance, and division rather than understanding and spiritual growth.
By acknowledging and understanding these archetypes, we can integrate them into our consciousness in a way that promotes balance and harmony, rather than repression and conflict. This approach fosters a more holistic spiritual practice, one that aligns with the highest frequencies of love and divine order, rather than descending into the lower frequencies of fear and hate, thereby attracting the influence of unwanted archetypes.
Indra’s Net (below) from Buddhist and Hindu cosmology envisages the Akashic Field’s network of archetypes.
Jesus and Mary
In our Theory of Archetypes, Jesus and his mother Mary, in addition to being real human souls with whom we can — and should — develop personal relationships, represent a divine male/female matrix within the Akashic Field. This matrix embodies the harmonious balance of masculine and feminine energies, playing a crucial role in the spiritual evolution of humanity. More on this in a moment.
As noted, the Christian church often chooses not to address this complex and nuanced topic. However, Hinduism, another profound piece of the Divine Matrix, offers insight and hope for those seeking a deeper understanding of these interconnected forces.
According to the philosophers of India, the universe is composed of two entities, one of each they call akasha, and the other, prana … At the beginning of a cycle, prana sleeps in the infinite ocean of akasha. This ocean exists motionless in the beginning. Then arises motion of the akasha by the action of prana; and as this prana begins to move, to vibrate, out of this ocean come the various celestial systems—suns, moon, stars—the earth, human beings, animals, plants, and the manifestations of all the various forces and phenomena. Every manifestation of energy, therefore, according to the Hindus, is prana. Every manifestation of matter is akasha. (emphasis mine)
Indian Yogi Swami Vivekananda
In this construct, Mary is connate with the manifestation of divine energy, while Jesus is aligned with the manifestation of divine matter. Together, they embody the unity of these two essential forces, reflecting the balance of the cosmic duality.
God, in this understanding, is the ultimate unity of both divine energy and divine matter, the source from which all creation flows; the center of Indra’s Net. Christianity comes close to identifying the Holy Spirit with Mary, but it stops just short of fully integrating this profound connection.
Nonetheless, this is spiritually nourishing ‘solid’ food for thought on Mary’s 2,040th birthday. As the ‘New Eve,’ and the Mother of All the Living, Mary holds a unique and sacred place in the spiritual evolution of humanity. We are so very blessed to recognize and honor her role in the divine plan.
This statement reflects self-serving, yet mainstream, Catholic thought. “Called to be priests” by whom. God? I doubt it. No priest or any other religious is ipso facto “holy.” Many “devout” Catholics either don’t realize or refuse to admit that they are victims of a satanic psyop. The true source of their pomposity and pride is unmistakable.
I like it when a person honors their magical thinking along with their rational thinking. Well done, sir.
One thought that has been present to me in a revelatory way is the Feminine aspect of the Holy Spirit - and that has been too long veiled from us. If God is our Father and Christ is The Son, surely the Spirit in whom we move and have our being is our Mother Nature
