I hear hurricanes a-blowin'
I know the end is comin' soon
I fear rivers overflowin'
I hear the voice of rage and ruin
This is the second installment in a serendipitous series examining select 1960s musical prophecies with toe-tapping hindsight. The sixties were not only a great musical era but also a chaotic decade that anticipated an apocalypse, remarkably similar to today's atmosphere, where many again sense the end is near. Having survived the former and experienced the latter, I feel privileged. Not many of us ‘war babies’ have made it this far into the 21st century.
The sixties were a comparatively polite dress rehearsal for today’s abysmal mess.
The word apocalypse means, among other things, prophetic revelation. It also can signify the collapse of civilization and the end of the world. Looking back, we can pinpoint when America’s oligarchic rot set in. It’s been 60+ years since JFK’s assassination in 1963 — a Deep State coup d'état that effectively jump-started the collapse of the American Republic. Many would argue that our Republic is already confined to the dustbin of history.
Until now, I hadn’t considered the striking parallel between the end of the Roman Republic (marked by Julius Caesar’s assassination in 44 BC) and the decline of the American Republic, which began with John F. Kennedy’s assassination in 1963.
Since then, American democracy has been crippled by the Military Industrial Complex. We are now confronting this reality, which outgoing President Eisenhower warned America about in 1961. Unlike Caesar, Kennedy wasn’t an autocrat, yet his killers — by definition — were.
Last week’s contribution, which is here, was inspired by Bob Dylan’s "The Times They Are a-Changin’." This week’s anthem features songwriter John Fogerty and Creedence Clearwater Revival’s classic tune, "Bad Moon Rising."
We’ll return to CCR shortly. The poignant banner lead, which I came across serendipitously, says a lot. It features two familiar dystopian and prophetic novels, Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World and George Orwell’s 1984 — pictured around the corner from one another. Written within a generation, both were bestsellers at the same time and remain bestsellers today.
The two novels envision different dystopias. Huxley’s version is similar to the stated goals of the World Economic Forum: a totalitarian, infantilized world of ‘useless eaters’ anesthetized by drugs, video games, and decadent entertainment. Orwell, on the other hand, envisioned a dystopia characterized by permanent war, constant surveillance, and mind control. It appears we have merited both.
What caught my eye, and perhaps yours, was the cumbersome inclusion of the “Love Island” advert. WTF? Could this be a confused reference to Three Mile Island, site of the 1979 nuclear disaster that shut down construction of nuclear plants throughout the U.S.? We haven’t built one since. Nope, Love Island is real and as terrible as a nuclear accident.
It is a TV series that epitomizes not only degenerate dystopian sexuality but also the cock-a-hoop youthful narcissism and diminished self-awareness that are symptomatic of disease-ridden societies like ours. The program appropriately airs on an NBC streaming service called Peacock.
Since I watch TV mostly for sports, and am light years older than Love Island’s target demographic, I had to research the show. I apologize for this digression — you might decide to skip the video trailer if you’re uninterested in this recent reprise of The Dating Game. But the poster artist’s point is taken.
In fact, it nails the problem: dystopian, hypersexualized luv is what’s required to disconnect today’s youth from their iPhones (if only for a little while).
The Voice of Rage and Ruin
What is this voice? To whom does it belong? We need not search far. The voice of ‘rage and ruin’ is the piercing cry of our shadow-self, harmonizing with the ominous symphony of America’s collective shadow.
We reap what we sow. And we have sown a death cult. We have unwittingly invoked Thanatos, the ancient Greek god and personification of death, and now he roams freely. Thanatos is but one of many powerful and sinister metaphysical voices of rage and ruin, awakened by the depopulation and transhumanist agendas — key objectives of the Globalist Cabal.
Many are familiar with Jungian concepts like the ‘Collective Unconscious’ and ‘Collective Consciousness,’ but fewer understand the ‘Collective Shadow.’ The shadow, whether personal or collective, embodies the repressed aspects of ourselves that clash with societal norms. Individually, this shadow includes our hidden fears, desires, and unresolved conflicts.
Collectively, the shadow represents humanity’s darker elements — the cumulative atrocities, cruelties, and horrors of our past and present. Engaging in ‘shadow work’ allows us to confront these buried truths and transform our understanding of self and society. Jung emphasized that acknowledging and integrating these shadow aspects is essential for achieving psychological wholeness.1
The shadow acts as an emotional blind spot, the part of our egos or societal values that we prefer to wave off. If left unchecked, these shadow elements can be projected onto others or manifested as archetypes within the collective unconscious, leading to harmful behaviors that perpetuate negative karma.
The willful projection of shadow elements (gaslighting) is a component of menticide and 5th Generation Warfare. Gaslighting involves manipulating someone’s perception of reality, causing them to doubt their own experiences or sanity. Menticide refers to the deliberate destruction of an individual’s mind or psyche.
These phenomena shed light on much of what ails today’s youth — manipulated beliefs, negatively influenced behavior, and infantilized societal dynamics, to name a few.
America has been granted a fortuitous reprieve. Who knows how long it may last? We do know this: November’s election is no longer simply about a political choice; it has become a spiritual imperative. Donald Trump must be elected.
Both the country and Trump dodged a bullet on July 13. Now, the globalists are even more desperate to destroy our country and create an authoritarian world government. It is now obvious that nothing is off limits for these murderous tyrants.
Russian philosopher Alexander Dugin recently wrote, “God save America and all humanity from this criminal gang of liberals and globalists. If we do not stop them now, they will destroy us all.”
By “all,” Dugin implies not only that the globalists will destroy the American Hegemon, but also all aspirant hegemons (Russia, China, India, Brazil) who would, along with the U.S., form a multipolar or multinodal world order. Such an outcome is anathema to the Globalist Cabal and their Western vassal states, including Israel.
Another brief digression. The Palestinian genocide cries out to Heaven for vengeance. American patriots and supporters of Israel must now distinguish between the state and its corrupt government. Both the U.S. and Israeli governments are fully aligned with the globalist agenda. This truth will be on regal display when Netanyahu addresses the U.S. Congress later in July.
Fatima
On May 13, 1981, Pope John Paul II narrowly escaped death when an assassin’s bullet missed his vital organs. The date was the 64th anniversary of the first apparition at Fatima in 1917. The Pope credited Our Lady of Fatima for having saved his life.
Saturday, July 13, was the 107th anniversary of the third Fatima apparition, which is associated with the controversial Third Secret of Fatima. It’s reported that the bullet that grazed Trump’s ear would have killed him had he not turned his head microseconds before the bullet was fired. I credit Our Lady of Fatima for having saved his life. Perhaps others will join me.
The late Fr. Malachi Martin, who read the Fatima text, said that the Third Secret is “your worst nightmare, multiplied exponentially.” It recounts horrors that will be inflicted upon the world unless the present trajectory of history is significantly altered. This includes actively addressing the spiritual malaise that bedevils society. One tried-and-true method is through acts of loving-kindness (gemilut hasadim). Such acts “repair the world” (tikkun olam).
Taking the time to visit and comfort those who are unwell
Showing genuine interest in and inquiring about how others are doing
Welcoming family and guests and making them feel at home
Giving compliments, charitable gifts, and showing gratitude
Being kind to animals
The apocalyptic lyrics of John Fogerty’s Bad Moon Rising were inspired by a movie titled, “The Devil and Daniel Webster.” It tells the story of a farmer who sold his soul to the devil in exchange for “seven years of good fortune and prosperity.” The movie, adapted from a short story, depicts an adjacent farm being demolished by a hurricane, while the one granted protection by the devil escaped damage.
I hear hurricanes a-blowin', I know the end is comin' soon
The concluding piece in this 3-part salute to 1960s musical prophecy will publish next week.
How To Do Shadow Work (article)
Great essay as usual Toney. Key paragraph: “The willful projection of shadow elements (gaslighting) is a component of menticide and 5th Generation Warfare. Gaslighting involves manipulating someone’s perception of reality, causing them to doubt their own experiences or sanity. Menticide refers to the deliberate destruction of an individual’s mind or psyche. “
General social rot has been there long before 1963 and even before 1871 my friend. 1871 was one of many turning points where America became a corporation. One could claim a major turning point was in the 400s when Rome began to be "friendly" towards Christians, with an eye to mass manipulation through mistranslation of the bible, and leaving out passages and whole books for said manipulation.
